Lovely Trash

Taking inspiration from natural ecosystems, the Lovely Trash project aims to transform waste from the city into sustainable design. We develop a short cycle where we collect waste directly from Shepherd’s Bush shops and transform them thanks to mushroom into furniture. We use the natural capacity of fungus’ roots - called mycelium - to digest organic matter and, we make it recycle urban waste. As it degrades the waste, the mycelium transforms it into a biological and living material that we use to make sustainable design.
The Biological Laboratory of Architecture and Sensitive Technologies is a London based studio with the aim of exploring the possible relationships between new technologies and living things in order to develop new processes of artistic, design and architecture creations.
